Same Boat Ministries, Inc. is an incorporated 501(c)3 non-profit organization doing business in Venezuela in cooperation with “Asociación Civil Genesis” (the Genesis Project), an incorporated non-profit organization registered in Venezuela.
Our ministry has worked since 2010 in Venezuela with churches and Christian organizations, in evangelism, church planting and sustainable food and water production. The Lord has opened our eyes to the large numbers of children (and elderly) that are undernourished. Many live on the streets and some are among the poorest families with no means of support.
This prompted us to begin collecting food and shipping it to Venezuela. We found this process to be labor intensive, slow and expensive. We have learned to purchase bulk food (pasta, rice, beans, powdered milk, sugar, oatmeal, corn and wheat flour, cooking oil, as well as carrots, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, squash, garlic and cabbage) in Venezuela. Having done the math, we have concluded that it is far cheaper, much quicker and less problematic to purchase the food is Venezuela.
We have selected several pastors we know and trust. These are feeding hundreds of children and elderly. Same Boat Ministries helps support this work. The Genesis Project is also involved in jail ministry, feeding prisoners and sharing Christ.
